About the Founders

Steve Zimmerman and Rob Zimmerman are cousins who were destined to work in business together.  From a young age the two explored different ways to improve existing products, and brainstormed new ideas.  Rob is an Iowa State University Mechanical Engineer graduate who is currently finishing up his Masters in Business at Arizona State.  Rob takes care of the creative aspects at Zyklun, as well as bringing his MBA knowledge to the table.  Steve is also an Iowa State University graduate, however he went the route of Business Management.  After a stint in sales, Steve is taking his knowledge and putting it to use at Zyklun.  Together Steve and Rob are excited to see what can become of their freestyle brand, Zyklun, and to serve customers and retailers along the way!

About The Company

The idea for Zyklun was born in early November, 2007.  Rob and Steve (co-founders) saw a couple of problems with the major apparel brands available. First it seemed that many of the designs were beginning to be nothing more than a brand name and a logo stamped on the front of a shirt.  There appeared to be no creativity going into the shirts anymore, no heart and no passion.  Second, many of the foundations on which the leading companies were founded on were being lost.  Companies who were 'against establishment' suddenly had board members, and 'movements' seemed to be more of a catchy phrase than a real desire to move something.

Zyklun operates on principals that we believe will lead to bliss for both the company, and its customers (one in the same). 

1) Zyklun will not be complacent with designs on the shirts.  All of our shirts go through market testing, and you will not find a shirt that does not look as though someone's heart and soul was poured into it.

2) Zyklun is a Freestyle Company.  This means that everything we do will be passionate.  We will market intensely, listen carefully, and provide the absolute best customer service.  We will not sell you junk gear!

3) Have fun.  Life is short, there is no way to get out alive, so lets have fun with everything we do while were here!! We love to hear from people and respond to all emails, so lets hear from you!
